I had surgery Tuesday morning & everyone was amazing. The Pre-up nurses were funny & helped ease my nerves, the recovery nurses were amazing & my floor nurses were really great too! I'm not used to being the patient but I was impressed with all my nurses. It's nice to go somewhere where the care you give to your patients is reciprocated.
This place is very nasty. The er rooms had trash all over the floor. The nurse who stuck the IV in my mother used a gauze that she dropped on the ground and picked it back up and placed it on my mother's open needle site. Then when they restuck her, the nurse needed help and the nurse who helped her did not use gloves. They threw items that were soiled with blood away in the regular trash instead of the biohazard. This place is disgusting. I will never be back.
Even though I waited what seemed like an eternity due to excruciating pain, the staff once I got back was incredibly. The clerk went as far as to assist me going to the restroom! I hate that I had to visit the hospital but these folks were so kind and sincere. The nurses were caring and Mandy the PA did her best to figure out my problem. Thank you so much for taking care of me!
Man, look...I woke up to a nurse giving me a shot in the stomach. We asked what it was for and the question was completely ignored but the nurse said the other 3 shots were done in my stomach but that was the very first shot in my stomach. The doctor himself said they spotted something in my heart but apparently it's not important cause it's been 3 hours and still no doctor. Dear Ruston Hospital...Y'all slow asf.
