My husband and I flew in on Thursday evening and it was my first trip to California. I've traveled many places and been through many airports. I thought it was a nice airport. Very clean and nice staff. TSA lines were long but moving along nicely. The agents were nice and friendly as well. I saw a lot of negative comments here about TSA. Sometimes our attitudes can reflect in others.

2 hrs queue for passport control on arrival. It's quicker and cheaper to fly via San Francisco if you need to be in San Jose. 3 immigration clerks for visitors and 3 clerks for citizens, 500 passengers. Imagine how long this takes with fingerprinting. Arrival hall non existent you are ejected to the street. Toilet in passport control was dirty. Small area, queue was all the way in a tiny corridor almost all the way to arrival gates. Avoid.
