I went to see Dr. Nimesh for a second opinion on surgery for L4 and L5. The first physician had recommended a TLIF but that surgery is extremely invasive. Dr. Nimesh said he had examined the X-rays of my back and said he could do an ALIF surgery which is not as intrusive. I was afraid and postponed the surgery until I could no longer stand the numbness and pain that would not let me function. I could"t stand up and walk without pain and I could not sit down because of the pain. I called the doctor's office and scheduled the ... read more
Dr Patel’s he is a very good doctor. He just done a brain surgery to my brother in-law. He is very high recommended. Thank you Doctor Nimesh Panel’s for saving my brother in-law.
I recently had a laminectomy performed by Dr. Patel and his surgical team. What a life changing experience! I had stenosis at L4-L5 that caused extreme pain radiating down the back of both my legs. Often there were times, prior to the surgery, I was even on crutches. However, from the moment I walked into my first appointment, through the surgical procedure, and finally the post-op appointment, Dr. Patel and his staff were professional, competent and caring. Now, I am totally pain-free and can do all the activities that I us... read more
My husband had two back surgeries performed by Dr, Patel. The first surgery was to remove a blood clot which was caused by a steroid injection the day before. Apparently, this is a rare and dangerous consequence of a spinal injection. He agreed to stay late in the hospital and do surgery in order to help him. I was thrilled to have someone like Dr. Patel help with the increasing blood clot. The second time was two weeks ago. He carved out two foramen and this is the first time my husband has been pain free in seven years. Dr... read more
I saw Dr. Patel because I was having severe back pain. In 2015 another surgeon performed 360 back fusion and this year I started having cripling back pain. Dr. Patel had several tests done and found that I had alot of scar tissue and the nerves in my back were bunched up. He cleared up the scar tissue, took care of the nerve issue on Tuesday, July 12 and I was released from the hospital by the next day with minimal pain. As of today July 28th, I am now walking pain free and almost back to my normal routine. THANK YOU Dr. Pat... read more
I am writing this review on behalf of my 77 year old father who suffered from lumbar stenosis causing pain which radiated down his entire leg and greatly affected his quality of life. He suffered from chronic pain, numbness, tingling and balance difficulty. He had been seen by a local neurosurgeon who recommended a far more invasive surgery than Dr. Patel offered so we traveled across several states to see Dr. Patel. The entire experience was the best I have ever witnessed or experienced in health care in all aspects of his ... read more
I had a laminectomy and was very pleased with both Dr. Patel and his office. I work in a hospital and he was recommended by all. Very professional and technically skilled. Questions were always answered. I needed FMLA paperwork completed and office staff was helpful and responded quickly.
I have a back issue and went to 3 surgeons who all recommended a fusion. I heard the recovery is very long. Dr. Patel was recommended also, but I could not find a time to come it that worked. But then I went in and he said I could do another surgery as a fusion was not necessary. I got the "lighter" version of the fusion and it was wonderful. I am able to do everything without pain and my downtime was easy! we love him!
First office visit went well. He was my last surgeon opinion and I decided to go ahead with the C3-4 ACDF with him. It went downhill after that! Very long story short, Dr. Patel stated he would not prescribe post-op pain meds to me after my surgery, because I currently saw a spine pain management dr and had a "contract" with him. I then spoke to my pain dr and he said the surgeon needs to prescribe post-op surgery meds, because he is treating pre-surgery pain symptoms and who knows what will happen during surgery and what I'... read more
