I was diagnosed with a ruptured disc at L2-3. Dr. Patel did non-invasive surgery to clean the debris from around the disc, sealed the disc rupture, and cleaned the calcification on the vertebrae around this area. It has relieved all my sciatic pain down the left leg and the back pain I did not realize came from the ruptured disc. My balance has returned and I feel so much better than before. I am almost 77 years of age and I feel Dr. Patel has given me several more years of active life with this surgery.
After five years of excruciating pain in my neck, I finally decided to visit a surgeon that was referred to me by a friend. The surgeon was Dr. Patel and I’m so glad I made that appointment. I can't say enough positive things about Dr. Nimesh Patel with regards to my recent surgical experience at Methodist Addison. His professionalism, competency, and communication were superb. Dr. Patel made me feel heard, valued and assured me when I was fearful and concerned. After nearly three years of ongoing sciatica pain, I’m very pleased to say Dr. Nimesh Patel has finally helped alleviate my nerve pain. If a person is unaware of the severity sciatica can present, in my case, pain occurred in my left leg with every step I took. After meeting with several surgeons, we chose Dr. Patel to complete my husband's neck surgery. We didn't take choosing a surgeon lightly, as neck surgery is a really big deal. I had back pain from a herniated disc for about 30 years and had tried everything to avoid surgery - I was scared that it wouldn't go well. When I first met Dr. Patel he calmed my fears about surgery. The pain had gotten so bad that just walking 5 feet was a struggle. He spent time with me alleviating my concerns with the surgery. His Bed-side manner is outstanding. The day of surgery he made sure that I was well informed and relaxed. In one day 8 months of pain were gone. Recovery was smooth and easy. His staff was outstanding. I wish I could give him 10 stars. He gave me my life back.
