Another week at Neaum, this time in Flat Tarn. Lovely comfortable lodge, so well equipped. Nice comfy bed too. Weather went through all four seasons in the week, but that's the lakes for you. Site as well kept as ever, even got to see the red squirrels , owls and lovely resudent family of viles in the garden. No doubt ve back again.
Years and years ago when our children were kids we loved Neaum Crag as a holiday destination. The kids are now adults but we fancied returning with our dogs for a short break. So we booked 4 nights in Watendlath cabin 15-19 Sept. The cabin was set high up on the estate within vast woodland. Very close to Ambleside town. We have just returned from 4 nights in Watendlath cabin which was set high up on the estate. A beautiful cab with beautiful interior and quality furnishings. Oh and what a comfy quality bed too. I have arthritis and fibromyalgia and I found it so comfy. We took our two small dogs and would have preferred all of the lodge to be enclosed to allow the dogs out without fear of diddling off but fencing was there where it needed to be as a safety measure because of the altitude we were at. Lovely walks and even better views
Great spot for exploring from. Swimming pool small but quiet and clean. We only stayed in a cabin for the weekend but will happily visit again.
