Officer Herrera from the NB Animal Department was incredibly kind, helpful, and professional when he came to help us with a large rat snake in our garage. He quickly and safely captured the snake with confidence and care. We truly appreciate his expertise and calm approach—it made a stressful situation much easier. Thank you, Officer Herrera, and thank you to the department for keeping our community safe!

Called this past week about a skittish loose dog running around in my neighborhood. I called after hours, so had to get in contact with dispatch. Totally fine, the guy at dispatch was nice and trying to help me. While on the phone, I was able to actually get ahold of the dogs collar and pet him. I was told that the ACO on call would not come pick up the dog. Two officers helped our neighborhood capture a stray this morning. Poor dog spent 3 days in this freezing weather. She was skittish but not aggressive and none of us could catch her. Whomever you sent out were EXCELLENT, very professional, and very gentle with it (i think a her) when they finally got her this morning. No collar, no chip. I hope someone is looking for her!
