A splendid culinary adventure awaits you at Navarre, a unique dining destination with a highly innovative take on the working of a restaurant. The interiors have a very casual, cafe-style vibe with bare walls, a wine shelf on one of the walls and a handful of lanterns hanging from the ceiling. The all-glass entrance allows a good play of natural light inside. The chef crafts an innovative selection of European small plates with influences from the Italian, French and Spanish palate. The twist however, comes with the menu. Th... read more

inexpensive food – I have been 3 or 4 times and have not been disappointed ay all. 2 salads, braised greens, excellent polenta, tender baked snapper and mushrooms all for $20. We spent $28 on good wine. This is not expensive by my standards or any of my friends standards. I'm pretty sure the tables aren't plywood but wouldn't care if they were. Previous criticisms are way off the mark. The space is small and inviting with votives at all the tables. There is a small bar that looks into the kitchen. Give it a try.
Not my favorite... – I was disappointed in the price of each plate, for the amount you receive...as well as the price list for wine! I think the menu/prices should be reconsidered. I do like the area and think Navarre has potential!
Over Priced Plywood! – Initially I read the other reviews on this site and was very excited to take my girlfriend to a "highly rated" tapas bar! WOW...was I dissappointed! I have traveled and had the opportunity to visit numerous tapas bars throughout Spain and southern Europe and find that Navarre can not hold a candle to any of them. The general tapas selection is slim, over priced, and not very tasty! The wine selection was decent! Overall...I shouldn't be spending $60 to experience less then adequate tapas on A PLYWOOD F... read more
S.E find something comfortable!!! – The new spot in town: Navarre, comfortable but a bit stark and fuinny enough it works. Nothing bar bones stark like Casagna but there not trying to impress us with decor skills. it's the food that lights up the walls, it's the wine selection that gets us painting the sky. Great wines dott the list with the choice to buy any size you need. Food is simple, don't think your going to fill up with one plate and yes it's true when you leave there you have spent the money of a nicer restaurant. S... read more
great food!!!! – The food was great, the wine list impressive. I loved the country pate and the frico reminded me of Italy. I went for a glass of wine and a snack and had four small plates. I love the half carafes. A great place to enjoy good food and good wine.
Loved It! – Besides the wine, there is also a lovely menu of small plates that is to die for. Everything is very simple and well-prepared. Our table went crazy trying almost everything on the menu. Especially good were the potato pancakes, the pork braised in milk, and the (very simply prepared) lamb slices. The wine selection was well thought out and the servers were very nice.
