Classy Hotel in a great location. Walking distance to most Miami Beach/South Beach locations. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. There's none of the aloofness or pretension that is rampant in some other popular spots. Decor is art Deco without being kitschy. Nice art adorns much of the space. Some reasons why I gave 4 instead of 5 stars. No waste basket in the room and only 1 usable outlet. No beach towels due to broken dryer. Will definitely stay here again! Edit. Hola, yo fui al National Hotel en el mes de Agosto 2015. La verdad muy lindo el hotel, pero no nos devolvieron una garantia de 300 DOLARES... Sigo intentando comunicarme con ellos pero no tengo respuesta, no lo recomiendo.

I truly loved the hotel and its staff so much that despite the expensive food and "extras", I would consider coming back. But I must say, charging guests $19 to use the umbrella at the beach or charging for the use of the cabanas, I found excessive and too expensive. Not to mention the limit of 2 lounge beach chairs at the beach, regardless of the number of guests in the hotel room. I think that is something that should be reevaluated.
