THEY ARE PAYING PEOPLE TO WRITE REVIEWS!!! – THE REASON THE RATINGS ARE HIGH IS BECAUSE THE OWNER BRIBES PEOPLE TO SUBMIT POSITIVE FEEDBACK!!! I'm known for consistently having a small appetite and usually am satisfied with children-sized portions when I eat out. However, while dining at Nakama I found the full-price portions to be much smaller than other Japanese steakhouses offer and twice as salty. GREAT SUSHI ROLLS AND SASHIMI! – Nakama is a great place for anyone that is interested in trying sashimi/sushi for the first time, and veterans can enjoy themselves too. I have bad experiences with sashimi (raw fish) in the past, and was unwilling to give it another shot. After much convincing from my dining companion, we were off to Nakama. Fun Atmosphere! – I went to Nakama a little while ago to celebrate my boyfriend's brother's birthday. The atmosphere was fun and suiting for large parties! My boyfriend hasn't stopped talking about it since! We will actually be going for his brithday next month! Sure it's dark, and a little noisey, but what restaurants aren't any more. Awesome Atmosphere – I tried Nakama at the suggestion of a friend and was pleased to be overwhelmingly satisfied with the food and atmosphere. In the heart of Southside, Nakama offered a sense of style with my dinner. My date and I opted for the Sushi bar. I would have to rate Nakama as one of the best in town when it comes to sushi. I would definately dine there again.
The Best Apetizing sushi – I loved everything about the restaurant. The real live grill with lots of fire. The Sushi was to die for. I love eel and as soon as i took a bite of it i thought i was gonna melt.
GREAT EVERYTHING!! – We absolutely love Nakama. Everytime that we have family or friends into town we take them to Nakama....often for dinner, sometimes just for cocktails. Every time has proved to be a great experience that keeps us coming back! The Hibachi chefs make the dining experience so fun....and the food is always delicious! We will be back...to one of our very favorite restaurants in the city real soon! Thanks to Nakama for the great food and great fun...keep doing what you are doing!!
NAKAMA - WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT!! – My husband and I have been loyal Nakama customers for over 2 years. The food is incredible, the chefs are great and the ambiance is so modern. We have spent many birthdays, anniversaries and other celebrations there with family and friends. We cant say enough about Nakama. We highly recommend trying Nakama today!!!!
