Great food-Lively atmosphere – I have been to Nakama on a number of occasions and each time was a very enjoyable experience. Everything from the food to the clientele to the service is excellent. I would highly recommend it.
Great Atmosphere, Amazing Sushi, Excellent Service! – Nakama is most definitely my favorite place to eat! I have been here many times and every time I have such a great time. I would never think you could have such a good time at a restaurant. The atmosphere is great! It is ideal for any occasions -- a night out with your friends, a date, or just to go and get some drinks and sushi! I highly recommend everyone try it....you will not be let down.
Great food!! Trendy Atmosphere!! Overal A++ Restaurant!! – Nakama is one of my favorite restaurants EVER! My friends and I eat there at least twice a month, we just can't get enough! My fav is Bob's Triple, it is the best!! The service is great, the food is even better and theres even the entertainment of watching the chef cook right in front of you! You have to try, its an excellent dining experience!
Delicious – I absolutely love Nakama. Great atmosphere for dining and drinks. Always an interesting time. I have never had a negative experience at this restaurant. The food is always delicious. I always leave feeling filled and in a great mood.
Great Food, Great Atmosphere, No Restuarant Tops nakama – My wife and I have been to Nakama a few times since it has opened and I cannot say anything bad about the restaurant. The service has been good, food is excellent, the ambiance and atmoshere are fun. The place is usually pretty busy, so make sure to try and make a reservation. The Surf & Turf is my favorite.
Can I just say VIP baby!! – I absolutely love Nakamas! Where else can you be treated like a VIP and even get a card to say it. I've been going to Nakamas for over a year now and must say it is an experience every time I go. I particulary enjoy Thursday nights and Friday happy hour. The atmosphere is upscale, the service five star, and the food incredible. Nakamas goes out of their way to make each customer whether first timer or regular feel like VIP. Check it out if you haven't already!! Ray
Unique Sushi – I like to go to Nakama because they have some of the most unique forms of sushi that I've ever seen. Their Maki rolls are fun and inventive. The chefs are very personable and will help you to decide what will work best for your tastes! Its a trendy spot with trendy cuisine.
The owner is HORRIBLE – All I know is I used to somewhat enjoy Nakama until the last time I was there. I agree that it is VERY overpriced, but when I was there with my two girlfriends, one of which didn't have a seat and the owner and a few of his friends were at a table in the corner by the bar and there were two empty seats and when we asked if we could have one for my friend to sit down the OWNER said no.... with an ATTITUDE. Best Japanese in Pitt – I'm from Ohio and was visiting Pittsburgh and heard about this restaurant so I decided to check it out. Not only was the food amazing, but the atmosphere and location were perfect: right in the heart of the south side. Our chef was very entertaining and the service was very good. It's definitely not your every day restaurant so if you're ever in the area you definitely need to give it a shot!
