I used to love Nakama, and would go there for special occasions. Yesterday, I ordered Hibatchi Steak, hitachi fried rice, grilled veggies. I was so disappointed ! The steak (I ordered it medium) was dry and tasteless. The rice had very little taste and the grilled veggies were scarce and overcooked. The prices was astronomical and I couldn’t eat my dinner. I won’t be back. 1/2 stars.

RecommendedThe food was amazing and the drinks were just as good. From the moment we got there the staff was friendly and professional. Our hibachi chef's name was Ari and he did amazing. I would gladly reccomend this establishment to anyone looking for a great time in South Side.

RecommendedMy family and I come here every year and are never disappointed! We had great service and the food was cooked perfectly!! We had Collin as our cook and he was so much fun, had us all laughing and made the whole experience that much more enjoyable!! plus he cooked our food perfectly!! We will be back next year!!!!
Nakama was terrible. The staff was so slow and their hibachi chef, Colin, is a horrible person. He started talking about how you can't say anything anymore because people are too politically correct, saying that feminists will get on you about jokes about Asian people. He then went on to tell me I ate too much and when I told him that was not appropriate he started talking about how it's okay because I'm not fat.
