We went to the East Carson St restaurant last night. I had to send my drink back to the bar, it wasn't made correctly. Our meals were very disappointing. The vegetables lacked flavor, the onions dissolved in your mouth to an unpleasant texture. The beef and chicken did not impress. I had the Diablo Filet Mignon. cooked medium rare. It was amazing topped with the udon noodles and diablo sauce. Came with a Nakama salad and some delicious onion soup. Reserved seats at Hibachi for my Anniversary with my girlfriend. Definitely a delicious meal. Will be going back again soon.
Called to order takeout on New Years Eve. Told they are not taking take out orders. Decided to book reservations online. Drove out there and told online reservations don’t work. Will not be back. Place we came several times a year.

food was great. service was marginal. the tuna mango on avacado was the BEST.

Normally a night with Nakama’s food is great but our experience today was far from good. I had a craving for their Hibachi but I’m stuck at home recovering from surgery, so when I saw I could have it delivered my wife and I were very excited. The chicken and steak hibachi orders that were delivered to us were terrible. The salads were wilted, the soup was very spicy (which it has never been before in our experience), and the portions were tiny.
