I used Mylife, the 7 day trial, to locate hard-to-find alumni for a 50th class reunion. We had over 700 in our class so this was not an easy task. Mylife was easy to use and helped us pursue the goal of contacting everyone...well almost everyone. I had no problem contacting customer service to discontinuing the service. I do question whether the information is up to date and accurate but for my purposes of obtaining contact information it worked well.

I called mylife.com to have my information removed and they claimed to have done but failed to do so. Later I called again and they gave me a so-called number to Google 888-xxx-9219 where they wanted $300 in a prepaid card sent to them to have the information removed. I felt this was a scam. I then later called the real Google number and they stated that they would never charge for such a thing. Google suggested a trouble search link to help remove and complain about the website. They are a rip-0ff and a scam. I joined (should have checked first!), and after finding they provide next to no information, I asked to cancel membership and had to talk to two different people two months and threaten to report them. Their email (customer support) is bogus and does not work. I am still getting repeated emails saying I have an account although they did not charge a membership fee this month. There is no way that I can find to get yourself removed from their group. Going to try some Google suggestions.

This site advertises itself as a means to control your online information. For a fee they will filter this info and make sure you "manage" it. If that is their actual business, then why in the world would they keep information on people who are deceased? What possible management would be needed for a dead individual? This site actually could be a source of identify theft because they list so much info on dead people. I received a Subscription Renewal Notice via email - I did not want to renew my subscription to Mylife. The agent handling my account was very professional and straightforward - her name was Marie and she was very helpful and very courtesy.
