We were only there to see our new grandaughter. To find the maternity ward was ridiculous. No one was at the information counter. The board where everything is, didn't list maternity ward. We had to use 3 different elevators, just to get to the right place. Once we got there, the nurses were all very, very nice and were very professional with our daughter and new baby.
Tacoma General really took care of me from start to finish. I had been at St. Anthony's in Gig Harbor the day before and was made to lay there from 10am to 5 pm without any IV fluids, and every time I asked a question they acted like I was bothering them. When I got to Tacoma General they really stepped up and took care of everything even helping me find a specialist. I feel St. Anthony's needs some lessons from Tacoma General on how to treat a patient in severe pain!
Tacoma general staff or nurses and doctors saved my life. Mortality rate for what I went through for mom and Baby is 90-95%. But because of all of them both my child and I survived!! I would recommend them to anyone!
MultiCare Tacoma General has provided incredible care for me through the Oncology (Radiation and Chemo) Departments. May 3, 2017 is my one year anniversary since diagnosis and it has been the best year ever. Thank you, MultiCare!

I was admitted there on the 12th for an emergency c-section due to preeclampsia. The surgeons and everyone who attended to mine and my families care that night and days after did a wonderful job. The ladies down the birthing center were also very compassionate and aware of our situation.Mike and I are very appreciative that you handled us and our Alex with such love and care. Thank you from the bottom our hearts.

Staff was wonderful and responsive. They even chuckled at my poor sense of humor! Recovery room from surgery was very comfortable. The ER took exceptional care of my husband last summer, too. No one likes going to the hospital, but this is my hospital of choice in Tacoma.
