Dr Mullins is one of the best doctors around the Knoxville area. She is very kind and listens to me very well. Her staff is quick and helpful. I love visiting her because she makes a difference in my life.
Dr Mullins is one of the best neurologists I have ever seen. She was very attentive when I was discussing my symptoms and she made a huge effort to help me. Her staff was very kind. The waiting time was very short. Love this doctor. I recommend her to any patient having issues.
On two different occasions I have had the opportunity to be treated by Dr. Mullins. During both visits I found her to be an excellent listener as I explained my symptoms. She took the time to answer all my questions and explained to me in great detail how she would be treating me. I felt very comfortable with Dr. Mullins and I would highly recommend her to friends and family.
The staff has no knowledge of the field of neurology. The staff is uncaring. She ordered blood work, an EEG, an MRI and a sleep evaluation. If tests come back "normal", the staff can call and tell the patient. If something comes back ABNORMAL, then the DOCTOR is supposed to call and explain. A staff person called. Told me the name of the disease, but couldn't tell me anything about it. Then had the balls to say "At least it's not a brain tumor". REALLY??????? WOW!
Very rude and abrupt. Would not recommend to anyone!!!!
If I could rate Dr. Mullins a zero, I would do so. Dr. Mullins entered the exam room angry, frustrated and upset about one thing or another during my visits. I have a memory impairment, and yet she grilled me on the name of a neurologist I saw several years ago. When I jokingly said, "I have Alzheimer's," she snapped, "Yes, but that was a long time ago before your diagnosis." What?! This was not the only time she purposefully tried to make me feel small and inferior. She is a terrible doctor.
A day after being discharged from ER for neurological problems, I was denied an appointment period. Was told by her nurse, Haley, that Karen Mullins no longer wanted to treat me after a 2 year doctor - patient relationship! Absolutely no explanation!
I love Dr. Mullins. She always welcomes me with a smile and hand shake. She listens to me and explains everything in a clear manner. I have sent my son there, because he has a bad tremor. She helped him, and he's doing much better. Hoping to see if she can take in my neighbor's dad who has Parkinson's.
