After numerous appointments locally and at Vanderbilt, doctors could not determine what was causing me to constantly feel lightheaded except when I was lying down. After three years of being miserable, one doctor finally referred me to Dr. Karen Mullins. Before my appointment with her, I had written down my symptoms, names of the doctors I had seen, medicines I had tried that didn't work, and the many tests I had had. At my appointment, I gave this to her. She took the time to read it and to listen to me. As a result, she ga... read more
I am so satisfied with my care from Dr. Mullins that I followed her when she moved from her Knoxville practice to Alcoa many years ago. I have always felt like she listened and cared about what I was experiencing and given me different options of treatment that aligned with my wishes. Now that my daughter has become an adult, she will transition to Dr. Mullins as well, as I know she will receive the same excellent care that I have received for years now.
Dr Mullins is the best neurologist I've seen in the area. I have gone to multiple providers, but none explain as well or care as much as she does. My migraines have greatly improved using her. I have recommended her to my family and friends.
I’ve been seeing her for over a year and finally she did a simple test in office that showed I needed tests to r/o neuropathy. On my first visit she was in a bad mood. The last visit I had a ncs and emg. She never greeted ... read more

Dr Mullins is a great doctor. She has helped my father with his Parkinson’s. The meds he is on have really made a difference. Dr Mullins listens to everything we have to say. You can tell she really wants to help her patients.
I first visited Dr Mullins two years ago for severe chronic migraines. She took my concerns and symptoms seriously and prescribed me on some medications that have really made a difference for me. Dr Mullins is a very caring provider and I will continue to visit her as she has made a huge difference in my migraines.
