I have always shopped here, as the food is great. However, a sign on the window claiming that cameras are there for customer security felt too me like some kind of coded message that was inappropriately mixing up customers with shoplifters. The last time I went there were no staff on the check outs. This again made me feel uncomfortable. It felt like I was being employed without pay for administering my packing and purchasing. Right now, having been unable to find a way to complain directly to the store manager, or even on the M&S site, I'm posting here: They have been moaning about my checking out at the unmanned checkout, and pushing me towards the cashier, to the point of opening a line, just for me, as they did today. Have contacted the shop 15 minutes after leaving with my shopping just to notice I had been charged £5.99 for something I did not take. I bought 3 items only, so was surprised to see there was a fourth item listed. Emailed them and asked them why I had been charged for an item I did not scan or take and for them to check cctv to confirm this and provided the receipt.
