It’s a Thursday late afternoon, 5:55 to be precise and I have just left the mri unit. This is my 3rd MRI scan I’ve taken in my adult years and only realising on my second one that I am infact extremely claustrophobic. Extremely. Visited scanner B on two occasions, late evening & early morning, and both were all good. Friendly and efficient staff help make you feel comfortable, and at ease as much as possible. Scanner B is located near the A&E, and directly opposite the A&E there is APCOA parking available. Getting from the car park to the MRI unit was a particularly tricky with my walking difficulties, nearly getting hit by a car halfway over the zebra crossing, so just watch out for distracted drivers.
The radiologists are very friendly and make you feel comfortable in a reasonably anxious environment.
