My experience was entirely consistent with the many other five star reviews of Sam and his team. I had been managing two increasingly worn out knees for about a decade until the point, aged 58, I decided enough is enough. The medical care that Dr Rajaratnam's practice provided from start to finish was exemplary. He has assembled a very good team which includes the post op care of the physio reporting back to him. Given he only does knees it is not surprising that he has one of the lowest revision rates in the UK.
For those facing the need to have a full knee replacement, I think one would be hard pushed to find a better way to do it than with Sam Rajaratnam and his team at the Cleveland. Not just Sam himself, whose knowledge, clarity of explanation, track record and bedside manner must surely be amongst the very best around, but also his wider team as well - from anaesthetist, to support nursing, to physio…really excellent.
Sam, Barry and the whole team were really friendly and professional throughout. I felt really well looked after and my surgery was a complete success - recovery has been far faster than expected and this is no doubt thanks to Sam's expertise as a knee surgeon (ACL Reconstruction).
If asked by anyone who looking to have their knee operated on I would have no hesitation in recommending Sam to do the operation. I have been incredibly impressed with Sam and his team. They have all been very helpful, understanding and efficient . My knee after 3 months has been fantastic and I have very high expectation to have a pain free future . Sam’s care and his skills are of the highest example of his profession.
