Spent a wonderful weekend there while taking part in a triathlon. Great location for running, cycling and swimming in the channel. All within easy reach of the Mousetrap and facilities allow for locking up bikes outside and drying wetsuits in courtyard. Very nice rewards available after activities including an excellent coffee shop on the quayside and plenty of pubs to choose from.
Stayed here while competing in the North Norfolk Triathlon. Really well set up for a weekend of activity - solid bike racks at the front, outdoor space for drying wetsuits and the owner was kind enough to arrange some additional bike locks if needed- we didn't. Wells is a very safe place to stay! Really close to the Quay for the event and for training swims - it's so well located for training as well as competing. Great place to stay to explore Wells. Everything you need is here. Comfy beds and sofas. Modern fittings. Courtyard garden. Parking for 2 cars. Ideal base.
We had a lovely stay at The Mousetrap, my husband is disabled but didn’t have any problem getting around with his walking sticks. We had 3 generations staying at the weekend and found everything was available that we needed. It is in a great position both for walking down to the quay and driving either way on the coast road. We were fortunate enough to see the new lifeboat, the Duke of Edinburgh, actually launch into the sea, my father’s name is on the side of the boat so it was very emotional.
