What a beautiful, historical journey into the life of Thomas Jefferson. The grounds and gardens are spectacular! Ariel gave a thorough and informative house tour! Definitely worth the trip! This history was happy (even though they didn't offer a teacher discount on admission)
An absolutely beautiful, stunning mansion on incredible grounds. The inside is to also learn about the man who was of genius quality, extreme,y knowledgeable, scientist, inventor, builder of The University of Virginia and his own home. Remarkable man and accomplishments which are an addition to his one of a kind spectacular home. He also fit in two terms of President of the USA.
Was crazy the house that he had was against slavery but he had slaves there
What a beautiful place and well kept. Although more focus should have been on him and his achievements than slavery. Back then they were Africans not African-American.

I would definitely recommend this tour to others, and I would definitely come back again! 👍🏻
This was our first visit. We did all 3 tours and I loved all 3( garden, slave & house). Every tour was guide was thoughtful of everyone's comfort(shade & benches where possible). We learned a lot. We loved it. I would highly recommend going!!!
This was a very interesting and informative tour of Jefferson's home in Virginia. The tour included a narrated walk through of the first floor of the house by a personal tour guide for small groups of people. The tour lasted over 40 minutes, although the brochure stated that it was for 20 minutes. We visited every room and were given background and historical information about each room. A self-guided tour of the wine cellar was available afterwards. Guided and narrated tours of the vegetable gardens and slave quarters were ... read more
