Such an awesome experience and jump back in time!
Monticello is a very good place to learn about history.
We went yesterday. If you go it's worth the money to do the behind the scenes tour. We also enjoyed the garden tour.
Its always good to go up there and walk around. Many things to see in one of the most beautiful places around, with a great view of the city and insight into a remarkable man. I only wish there were better eating choices and you could go up the mountain to see just the gardens and grounds, and not pay full price.
It has been 30 years since we last visited Monticello. Took our grandchildren this time, and we all enjoyed our day. The guide was very informative and held the interest of the children. I hope it's not another 30 years before we return.
A little crowded & a little rushed , but overall a good experience
Interesting to see the house and the gardens. Liked the carriage house with the odometer. It good to see that they were updating and adding new exhibits. Enjoyed the scenic drive from D.C. I would go again.
Very informative... Good to know the good and bad about our founding fathers and the country they designed!!
