Very educational and fun. Wish I had more time to spend and had the family with me. I went after doing some business in town and only had a couple hours. If I have a chance to go back l, I would love to do the second floor ans slave tours. Tour guide was outstanding.
Enjoyed the day at Monticello! Jefferson's ideals helped to shape our country.
Really enjoyed Monticello!! So much history and the views are beautiful!!
Monticello is beautiful, and the staff does an excellent job managing the large number of visitors so that you still have a meaningful experience. Go early so you have plenty of time to tour the house, gardens, and slave quarters. The slavery tour, in particular, was thorough, moving, and nuanced. Great place, my tour guy was named Mr. Moreman he was very good.
We visited yesterday and had a great experience! Our tour guide Jane was so very informative and gave us a lot of details about Jefferson's life, family and more. Beautiful home that this private non-profit group does great at taking care of and preserving! Highly recommend visiting!
I thought it was nice but you are rushed with the tour you could not look at things that were in the house other than that it was nice
Excellent house tour by Ariel. Loved the efforts at unraveling the legacy of slavery throughout the estate. A must stop in Virginia.
