Wonderful experience. The Thomas Jefferson Foundation has taken excellent care of Monticello. The house tour volunteers were extremely knowledgeable and the vast majority of the property is available for tour.

We saw Monticello last year. I've seen a lot of historic places and this, to me, is the most special because it seems so personal to Jefferson, the Architect. One MUST catch the tour of the slave quarters too, to learn about the true nature of the man. He was a good man, who spent money to keep families together and was himself, a family orientated faithful husband. Go see for yourself, and don't let twisted history influence you.
We were here 18 years ago and there is more to see and experience now. Loved it
The grounds were beautiful and the guide was great, we enjoyed the tour, but we thought it was way overpriced. The gift shop offered few affordable souvenir choices and the cost to see more than the first floor of the house was outrageous. We won’t go again and I’m not sure that I would recommend it as a vacation option for any of my friends.
An amazing home with such history. Every American should visit. We did the entire house tour and our tour guide, David, was outstanding! The gardens were beautiful.
