The Little Mountain is a WHOLE BLOWN profitable purpose ONLY!! Traffic was horrible going in so we got there around noon with a little baby. There where no tours left for a reasonable time. The only tours available were after 5:30pm. We couldn’t stay that late so thought we could at least walk around for a little bit. We weren’t allow to even see the outside of the house without paying for the full tour tickets. If no ticket you can’t even see his grave to pay your respects. It was beautiful! Lots of wonderful history. You only need to purchase tickets to tour the first level of the home. You do not need tickets for anything else and their is LOTS more to do and see touring the grounds without. The Freedom to Slavery tour may be done with your phone. And you may tour the cellar without a ticket. With the tickets to tour the home, again it is only the main living first floor. There is still LOTS to do and see without, if that's not in your budget.

Excellent place for my daughter’s field trip. Ariel, our guide, was so good with the kids! She was personable and very well knowing about all things Thomas Jefferson! Very awesome place!

We took a tour with Grace. What a very professional , passionate and well informed person she was. Lots of evidence based research on this tour. She handled the Hemings family with great sensitivity and answered the paradox of Jefferson with well informed and articulate answers. I could have listened and asked so much more! Thankyou Grace from the three Scots people in the tour !
Wonderful!!! And a great little lesson in American history! Thomas Jefferson! What a brilliant man!!! Our guide, Danny, was very knowledgeable and fun to listen to! We will def be back with our dog, kid and mother as soon as possible!
My wife and I went and had a wonderful time. The staff was very knowledgeable of history and historical events. All were friendly and made us feel very welcome. We did a behind the scenes tour, it was amazing! Grace our tour guide was so very nice and full of information! All in all it was a very pleasant experience!
