Beautiful property with lots of history; however, the staff needs a course in customer service. 1. My wife and I were told we could take turns touring the property because our 13 month old was being a distraction to others by cooing and laughing. 2. In the children’s museum, my 6 year old with Down syndrome wasn’t allowed to read the book he wanted because the staff member wanted him to read the book written by another staff member who has a child with special needs. The 4th of July at Monticello is an experience every American should have at least once. To watch 67 people from 35 countries become Americans renews one’s faith in this great country. I am always honored to work at Monticello but never more than on this day.
It is a nice place but I think is Expensive a tourist trap
Whether you are interested in Jefferson the Statesman, the Diplomat, the Innovator, the Architect, the father, the Founder, the farmer or slave owner - you will find the visit to Monticello fascinating on every level. Visiting here was a Bucket List item for me and I'm already thinking about a future visit. The staff were so friendly and knowledgeable. I had a wonderful time on my first trip to Monticello! It will not be my last! Our tour guide was one of the best tour guides I've ever had on ANY tour I've been on. Can't wait to return.
Thomas Jefferson’s Monticello is the most Beautiful place to be visited by anyone. I love it and I used to work there in Charlottesville for almost 7 years. My sister still living there and we were there me and my wife last week. I came to this great country back in 1971 . Thanks God for everything this great country gave me.working two jobs to establish myself and have a wonderful and peaceful life. God bless this great country forever
