Wonderful place to learn so much about the man, his life, his intellect, his hobbies, interests, successes and failures. Also includes what life was like as an enslaved person. Very poignant and powerful. Tour guides are excellent.
The house tour was very informative and learned a lot on our vacation!
Very interesting home, property, and history. Tour guides were great! After visiting Monticello, I researched Thomas Jefferson, wife Martha and slave Sally Hemings and the Hemings family for the next couple hours.
Well worth the trip. I am a mom and grandma So hope this won’t be taken the wrong way but I really would like to take a tour where I could hear the guide and not a lot of noise and crying from toddlers and babies. The guide did offer a repeat but I needed a break and Not another 40 minute tour. I will be back but the next time if there are kiddos, little ones in the group I will elect to go with another group.
Memorable day at Monticello with fabulous guide, Grace ! Interpretations are so interesting and honest. I appreciate so much being able to wander the grounds. Thank you to so many who make this experience possible!
