Worth every penny - and more Even if you are not specially interested in fish and ocean life, the Monterey Bay Aquarium is worth a visit. The variety ans speciality of the displays are fantastic, especially the exibition of jelly fish is out of this world. Great ocean gifts The gift store has so many unique gift items that will bring back memories of the beautiful Monterey Bay. Blown glass, fired ceramics and carved wood items are showcased here
A must-see! The Monterey Bay Aquarium is the best aquarium I've been to. It is a must for us to visit every time we are visiting Monterey. It is worth the admission price because the exhibits are so incredible and well-presented. It does get VERY crowded, so try to get there right when it opens. They are constantly redoing and upgrading their exhibits. The sea otters are a favorite to watch, especially around feeding time (get there early to find a spot to watch). it's an aquarium. wow. Ummm, $26 entry fee? $20 for a parking spot? You'd expect big things yeah? I guess this place would be well-wicked if you were a kid but as an adult it wasn't exactly life-changing. The Wing Chong building and the doc's old house up the street (from Steinbecks Cannery Row book) made the trip worthwhile..
Don't miss this! We love the aquarium so much that I've bought a 4 year family pass. The aquarium is really top notch. I bring all of our out-of-town guests here, and my kids always enjoy spending a morning here. PROS: great educational opportunity CONS:
excellent aquarium The Monterey Bay Aquarium is probably the best in the US! It's truly awesome. The exhibits are both informative and beautifully set up. I love watching the sea otter feedings and the jellyfish exhibit is almost like walking through a living art gallery. Fun for kids and adults.
Nice This is an awesome aquarium for your family to come visit. The kids learn so much from all the different animals here. Some are hands on too. They have so many exibits to see and the zoo is amazing. Very busy because of its tourist location. Very expensive to visit here too.
Good display This was a trip the wife and I made, and it was well worth it. The food court is over priced and over crowded, so eat before or after you get there. The display of fish and sea life was incredible. For the amount of people that go through there, it was very clean.
Montery Blast This is one of the worlds greatest aquariums, and man do I agree! I've been here multiple times, it is really nice to go here once in a while and refresh your memory of the wonderful place. It is located right next the the shorline. You will need to find parking on a side street. The aquarium itself is wonderful. The huge collection of animals is so amazing.
