Members for years It never fails, the kids always love the aquarium and with new things being added each year it's worth being a member. We only go a few times a year, but it's worth having the membership so we can go whenever you want. It's always fun to take out of town friends and family there as well.
My Favorite Aquarium I have been to many aquariums, but my favorite thus far has been the Monterey Bay Aquarium. They have plenty of interesting exhibits to see, with huge walls of fish everywhere. They have a great jellyfish exhibit as well as a variety of strange fish. They used to have a great white shark exhibit, which I sadly missed. The aquarium is located in a cute little area with shops and seafood restaurants, making this stop a nice day trip.
What an amazing experience! We took our children to the Monterey Bay Aquarium over the summer. We had a great time. The aquarium is right on the water and there are amazing views of the ocean from their deck. The boys loved the "touch pools" and their million gallon aquarium. We will go back again for sure!
one of the best Been to a few Aquariums and this is one of the best I have seen. Nice well organized and fun people. Local divers clean the tanks and feed the fish - it's fun to watch. Kids love the otters and they actually learn a few things. The deep blue tank is awesome, dark so keep your little ones close.
Best in Northern California The Monterey Bay Aquarium is definitely the best aquarium in Northern California. There are a lot of exhibits to see and huge tanks of so many sea creatures. They also have a lot of touch tanks where you can actually touch sting rays. The 2nd floor has touch tanks for kelp, kermit crabs, starfish and other smaller sea creatures. They also have this small area with an exhibit of the bird life by the bay that has live birds and ducks.
A must-see! The Monterey Bay Aquarium is renowned as one of the premier aquariums of the world and when you visit, its apparent why this is so. Whenever I visit, again and again I am awestruck by some of the displays. My favorites are the multi-story kelp forest and outer bay displays. Definitely not to be missed!
Best aquarium ever This is the best aquarium I have ever been too. The exibits are very well labelled and the staff is always friedly and ready to asnwer questions from both kids and adults. The gift shop has something in each price range. The food is not bad either. We love to go here. Most big companies in the valley offer discount tickets thru out the year to the Aquarium.
World Class This aquarium is certainly the best I've been to, it is truly impressive. There are giant tanks with some amazing fish and sharks. The coolest part are the tunnles that you get to walk through with fish on all sides of you. I really haven't been anywhere else like this. Amazing. Expensive but worth it.
Don't Miss this One! This is beyond terrific! Lots of hands on exhibits. Tons of interesting ones to just look at. The sea otters are so fun and energetic. It's the perfect place for kids and is fabulous for adults w/o kids. You won't regret this stop!
