The best This is the aquarium to see. Right on Cannery Row, the Monterey Aquarium provides a view into all types of underwater life. Up until early 2004, they even displayed a White Shark, before releasing it back into the wild. Worth the drive from anywhere on the peninsula. (Check the weather and go when it's warm.)

This aquarium is awesome! They have all sorts of exhibits where you'll see marine life that you'll never see anywhere else. The jellyfish exhibit in particular is pretty cool. We also saw sea otters and sharks! The Aquarium is located on Monterey's Cannery Row, so there are plenty of shops and restaurants to check out before/after your visit. Though it was overcast when we visited, I'm sure the ocean view is gorgeous on sunnier days. If you're traveling to Monterey and plan to stay a fewdays, your hotel might have discounted... read more

Good for kids, but go off-season if possible The Monterey Bay Aquarium is a great place to teach kids about marine wildlife. The exhibits are top-notch, and the views are beautiful. My only gripe is the amount of people that crowd the aquarium during the summer weekends. It can get a little overwhelming during peak hours. If you can, visit when the crowds are less, and you aren't rushed through the exhibits.

It doesn't get much better than this The Monterey Bay Aquarium is an incredible place for both children and adults. The displays they have are breathtaking - awesome has the kids say and the special activities they have for kids are wonderful. Although you get a great education when there, you think you are just having a great time.

Greatest Aquarium There is no wonder why this is world renown. I've been to this place months apart and they always seem to have something new. The facility is huge with aquatic exhibits that you can play observer to and on occasion (like the stingray exhibit) can even touch the creatures. The place is made up to several floors and will take you a couple days to fully explore. beautiful fishies. the fishes here are beautiful. something like you've never ever seen before. it's like you're living in the sea with the darn things! looks very realistic and it looks like a great environment for them. the workers are nice. what's best is that there is a nearby beach that is beautiful and the water is so clear!

Great Day Out This is the best aquarium I've ever been to. It's worth becoming a member (pays for itself pretty quickly). You really feel like you're diving with the sharks - it's amazing. Time your visit so you get to see feeding time for the sea otters. It's even fun for the little kids, there's a touch pool for them to play in.

Great Educational Programs Monterey Bay Aquarium has some of the best educational opportunities in the world for both students and teachers. Their kelp forest exhibit is truly amazing. The MBA also hosts special events, including an elegant New Year's celebration.

Fun under the sea or better yet in it! The Monterey Bay Aqarium is a great experience for the family and friends. Myself personaly enjoyed it tremendously! I love the water and with the visual and touch they provide it an adventure. Its a great place to take time and look at, to understand what is in our oceans or even just to go.
