I felt like some of the staff was too busy with other patients to concern themselves with helping me. I know higher priorities exists, but at least take the time to let me know why service is slow. I felt like I was invisible. I had to constantly ask questions balancing not being annoying and advocating for service.

I am 68 years old with a 70 year old sister and we are residents of Yonkers. The governor announced on Tuesday, January 12th that people 65 and older were eligible for the COVID19 vaccine. I spent time online trying to book an appointment and was getting very frustrated. My daughter-in-law told me she had heard reports that Montefiore in the Bronx, was taking walk-ins for vaccinations until 11pm. My sister and I got on line outside at about 8:55pm. at the 111 e 210 st site as I sit on the 1st landing in front of the elevators & behind the glass balcony... I'm amazed and terribly concerned of the amount of hospital staff come sit along side me & others with No Mask on appropriately, eating, chatting on the phone with no regard of the hazards of Not Wearing their Masks on the job. l didnt realize we as patients & family members were sitting in the employee break area .
