Open to the public since 2004, Montana Grizzly Encounter invites you to watch, learn and interact with the grizzlies in a safe environment. Watch as Brutus, Sheena and Bella, the resident bears, bask in the early morning sun, and later visit the gift shop to buy a few souvenirs to remember these grizzlies by.

An amazing educational sanctuary for grizzly bears. Kids LOVE it and adults are charmed by it. Ami and Bill are the most marvelous of caretakers. The best place to see grizzlies up close and learn a ton!
Montana Grizzly Encounter is amazing! The staff is extremely knowledgeable and friendly! The stories behind every bear is amazing and watching them is so much fun! We were able to see Brutus and Bella! We can't wait to go back! The bears have quite the personalities!

It was an awesome experience. Casey has a great approach to the experience. I thought I knew Grizzly Bears until visiting the Montana Grizzly Encounter. I learned much about Grizzly Bears I hadn’t realized, Hairs have White Tops in certain areas, and the hump is a muscle. It goes without saying however, Brutus was the “Star Of the Action for me.” 👍🏻
This is one of the best places to see and learn about grizzlies. I am from NY and when we visited last summer we literally spent the day. I think this sactuary is awesome and definitely recommend a visit. I love all the bears and watch them on the webcam whenever I can.
