Open to the public since 2004, Montana Grizzly Encounter invites you to watch, learn and interact with the grizzlies in a safe environment. Watch as Brutus, Sheena and Bella, the resident bears, bask in the early morning sun, and later visit the gift shop to buy a few souvenirs to remember these grizzlies by.

Great place to learn about Grizzlies and see them on a neat habitat. The team at MGE are incredibly knowledgeable.
Even without seeing Bella and Brutus the visit would have been well worth the safety information presentation. Very informative and well presented. The presenter even took the time to welcome everyone and thank them for coming.

Wonderful presentation of grizzly bears...how to spot them, safety precautions for trail hiking and general info about bears! We got to see Brutus, the resident celebrity grizzly!
Grizzly Bear encounter is the most amazing place to go! They are very informative, the staff is amazing, the Bears are adorable too ❤️. But the whole purpose of the sanctuary is amazing and what they do to care for their bears is great! Definitely my favorite place for sure! 😁
