Open to the public since 2004, Montana Grizzly Encounter invites you to watch, learn and interact with the grizzlies in a safe environment. Watch as Brutus, Sheena and Bella, the resident bears, bask in the early morning sun, and later visit the gift shop to buy a few souvenirs to remember these grizzlies by.

Love our Montana Fur Babies <3 , Love seeing them on my way to Bozeman from the highway .

The knowledge they share, the care that is given to each bear, and the wonderful lives these bears have all because of 'MGE'. The pictures that are posted show how amazing bears really are ... they have curiosity and it is fun to watch them learn. To see these lumbering giants "perform" some of their "games" alone or with each other is priceless. 'MGE' is more than a rescue/sanctuary ... it's a world of bears. There isn't anything better !
It’s the place to go if ur in Bozeman MT. Educational and just the best to stand and watch the bears when they are out. We have been 2X now and I am hoping to go back to see Max. Amy and the staff are great. Just love the place. From Alberta,Canada.
wonderful educational and very knowledge staff
My first time visiting I only got to see one bear but he was a 10 month old sweet baby named Max. I had fun & a great time. Sweet Max waves at my boyfriend & his family. The bear seemed happy there. Everyone working there were super friendly & informative about the bears :)
