My daughter spent a week in the children's hospital, over Christmas. Dr Neely and Dr Chase were AMAZING along with ALL the other wonderful doctors that came in to give her care, Andy the awesome flight paramedic, LeAnne was our spectacular ER nurse, the Amazing staff in the ER and PICU and the 6th floor of the children's hospital nurses were wonderful! .. We were admitted to Vandy on Christmas Day when our 7 week old baby girl had a high had fever and was diagnosed with the flu. They took good care of her and were fast. We expected to have to wait in the ER for a long time but were pleasantly surprised that wasn't the case. They do need to work on communicating with each other as well as looking at all test results before jumping to a diagnosis. We were first told she had pneumonia and the flu and would be staying but then the team came in and reviewed everything it was found... read more

In the midst of stressing over my sick child, having a HOME away from home was needed!!! I would like to thank Dr. Arthur and GI staff along with Dr. Blakely and Dr. Chung for a job WELL DONE!!!! We are thankful and grateful for each of you!!! Merry Christmas!!!

Very pleased with the hospital and love Dr Thame. My son was diagnosed with crohns his 1st dr gave him medicine said I'll see you in a year. And he wasn't getting any better. Had friends recommend Vanderbilt. So we drive about 2-2 1/2 hour away to see Dr Thame and come to Vanderbilt but worth it!! Always friendly staff and very helpful.

The staff was very kind and courteous. The nurses made my son feel comfortable and Dr. Wootten was fabulous. My only complaint was waiting 2+ hours past our routine appointment time to be called back.

We had taken our daughter, after being directed by our pediatrician, to see an opthamologist to have her eyes checked. We went to the first visit with no problems. They found an astigmatism and told us to schedule a follow-up appointment when she was 3. We did that. We went to the appointment and everything checked out.....at least until we got the bill. At some point in the couple of years between visits, they were no longer a part of our network. We got a pretty hefty bill in the mail. Nobody informed us of ANYTHING!!! We ... read more

My granddaughter was transferred here after swallowing a large "watch" battery. The staff on the ward were extremely helpful, ready to assist, and truly interested in her progress & recovery. We all watched them give every patient and parent the same treatment across the ward. Thanks to everyone that supported us in a time of need!

My son was transfered here from gateway where they diagnosed him wrong n once here a team of doctors worked on him non stop consulting with a team of doctors to find the causes of all the things wrong with him n fixed them. They were easy to talk to and understand. They were loving , kind, supportive and got my son feeling better. They made us feel comfortable and almost at home.
