I was given some pretty scary news at our local hospital about my 10 year old daughter, so we decided to make the 3 hour drive to get a second opinion from very reputable Dr's at Monroe Carell Jr. Children's hospital.. we are extremely happy with our decision! The staff is amazing, we felt so safe & comfortable during our visit. The Dr's are amazing & communicated so well with not only myself and my husband but our daughter as well. No communication, never was we told the truth from the beginning to the end, 5 surgeries in 26 days, 9 all together , and the death certificate reads nothing like they claimed to be the problem and missing medical records still that we asked for the 2nd of November, and the missing ones are the 3 days after the 3rd surgery. Everything that happened to her in the 5 months she was there is a shame, nerosurgery residents and Dr's would have a different thing to say than who ever was in there last, and the only way we could find... read more
My children were in a head on collision in 2015 and all 3 were life flighted to Vanderbilt Children's. They literally saved our children's lives. We spent over two months there and I don't have a single solitary complaint about the care we received. I will never take my children anywhere else.
Awesome doctors and staff for children my grandbaby had to have heart surgery and they was very helpful in explaining how things was going and keep us updated and the doctor was great . Thank you for such great kindness and taking care of our little angel.
My son has received excellent care before and after a major abdominal surgery. Special shout out to Dr. Moulton and Dr. Blakely, the 8th floor nurses (Sarah Margaret) and care partners (Carmen) and the awesome anesthesiology/pain management team! We ❤ Vandy children's hospital.
You won't find any hospital near here more dedicated to helping children heal and be calm in a tough situation. Everyone was so kind and gentle with my girl I am always impressed when we need to go there. This is why I pledge during the radio-thon every year! Thank you for all you do and for doing all the things you don't have to!
The nurse there are very caring and actually love doing what they Do! They were awesome!
