Went to the restaurant for the first and last time. Prime rib was tough and tasteless. I told the waitress this and she offered me a free dessert. Not exactly what I would call recompense for a 26 dollar steak. My wife told me her a shrimp was not up to snuff either. I rarely experience things like this. Passing things off as USDA Prime and delivering what I was served is a scam. You've been warned!
The food was very good and loved the martinis! Service was good and our waitress friendly. Only drawback was it was small and tight...it was very busy so you know it was a popular place to dine.
We celebrated our wedding anniversary here and had an incredible dinner! The atmosphere was right out of the show "Mad Men". Steaks, shrimp and lobster tail for dinner. Prepared flawlessly. Server was Cassie. So attentive and the owner made sure we left happy. 5 stars. Tell your friends to go there. We'll be back.
All the years I have been coming to the Traverse City area I have never had the fortune of dining at Modes. I will definitely be back. Best prime rib that I have ever had.
