Mitchell’s Ice Cream opened for business on June 6, 1953. Larry and Jack Mitchell’s goal was to make the very best ice cream in San Francisco. The Mitchells started out with nineteen flavors; all made with 16% butterfat cream and superior ingredients. Love the exotic tropical ice cream flavors. Coconut, coconut pineapple, ube, and mango are delicious.
Awesome very unique flavors! In my opinion they need to add a cup size 1 above the large for malts to satisfy ice cream fans like myself. Great job!

We ❤️ Mitchell's Ice Cream. We not only buy them at San Jose Ave but also in some grocery stores too. Unfortunately we moved out of SF so now the only time My family gets to have some is when we are in the area. To our disappointment they discontinued Durian Ice Cream which we ❤️ most. 😞 The next favorite flavor is Mango. I wish they could reach all the way to Fairfield so we can get our ice cream fixing often.
What can I say, the best ice cream in the bay area period!! Before I got hurt on the job I use to deliver their aprons so I got a chance to meet the owners. Very down to earth people who just want to put out great product & they're doing a great job!! If you haven't been to Mitchell's then you're missing out, peace
