Terrible customer service. Almost every time I have been to the "downtown" Columbia location the tellers have been rude. Not only rude to me but rude to other customers as well. I unfortunately have to deal with them because of a business account or I would have no dealings with them. The quality of this so called credit union has deteriorated in the last 10 years and gets worse every day. The employees are sullen and uninformed. The supervisory staff does not respond to complaints or inquiries. The place appears to be operating entirely on the basis of very rigid and arcane rules with very little internal esprit d'corps...... Credit Unions are supposed to be better than banks....not this one. Besides the minimum balances and outrageous fees for simply writing a check, they refused my adult sister a checking account because our incapacitated father was named on her account and it was verifiably literally, legally and physically impossible for him to come in and sign. At MCU you will not get better interest rates, you will not get better customer service, and you will get charged for services that aren't even rendered.

Don't bank here, there are hidden fees and policies if you don't read the fine print in the membership policies. There is a fee for almost every transaction, you can't withdrawal more than $300 a day. I was done banking with them when wrote a check and deposited the money the next day and they charged a 7.00 fee and bounced my check and refused to correct it.

MCU moved from three stars to five when I discovered its terrific Windows Phone app. It is beautifully designed and I have not found another credit union in the area with a Windows app. Way to go MCU! Thank you for supporting Android, iOS, and Windows Mobile users with native apps and not just a mobile site.

I have refinanced my car through MCU, and it took them about a week to complete the transaction. Not to mention they quoted my interest rate wrong twice during the process. They don't follow up with their promises, and are really seem uneducated, and slow to respond. Once my car is paid off, I will no longer do business with Missouri Credit Union.
