I would advise patients never to use the self check in and always go to the reception first. This is based off my own bad experience. If your appointment has been cancelled nobody can be bothered to contact you. And the computer still lets you login for your appointment and doesn't inform you of the cancellation. So you can be left waiting around for nothing. Terrible self service. Mirfield Surgery has been our GP since we arrived from India about two years ago... The doctors are very kind and take their time to understand your problems and suggest suitable long term solutions.. The manager Ms. Irem is always polite and attentive over phone or in person. I'm giving one star less for the nurses.. because I expect a comforting smile when they hold your arm for an injection.. and they don't.. they just think it's their duty and want to be done as quick as possible... Today I put an online request for an apointment for my daughter (4) at 5:05pm had a phone call at 5.25pm was seen by dr who checked my daughter over and gave her antibiotics for tonsilitus. I have been part of the mirfield surgery since i was 2 or 3 (30+ years) and always feel the care they gave me and my children excellent. Not had a problem with the booking system.or getting an appointmenr
Absolutely terrible service 45 minutes to get through get cut off trying to get my parents house bound and just gets pass the buck as when you get told the doctors can put my parents house bound instead they make them struggle they can not get out Iterrible service
I would say they have improved since the digital appointment system has been introduced. Truly remarkable how they evolved.
