While visiting the area we stopped at Mikado. The first concern is that the place is almost empty on a Friday night and the streets are packed with people walking around. We walk in and notice that chair covers are torn, the backs worn through, etc. After being seated, there is food on the floor and the booth wood is dirty. This place has the best sushi and food I've ever had from a Japanese restaurant. Absolutely love it!!
Wonderful variety in the menu, truly unique. The grilled mackerel was a splendid warmup to my main dish, just the right hint of brine and it accented the white fish nicely. My sushi arrived in a beautiful rose arrangement and was tasteful to the mouth and eyes. I'd go again in a heartbeat.
Worst food ever and service, will never go back....
