Great for Fashionable Frames – Note: Whoever wrote the review: "Finally; eye help has arrived! Posted by sunbeam06 on 11/07/2006" Has not been there. They do NOT make lens onsite. All are ordered and you come back and pickup. The place is as you would expect in Midtown: Great selection of hot frames that I have not seen elsewhere. Good eye doctor. Nice people. Fairly high prices - because they have upscale frames.

We are able to make a wide variety of glasses same day. Depending on: degree of the prescription, type of frames selected, whether it is a single vision lens or some type of progressive or specialty lens, etc (just to name few..), the glasses can be done while the patient is in the office or it may take some time to order more specialized type lenses. Finally; eye help has arrived! – I have to rave about my new favorite doctors office. Never have I been to an office with such cool stuff... my eye exam included state of the art technology, including an OPTOS machine. It allows you to not be dialated! The selection of glasses there is crazy! I can't believe they have more sunglasses than Lenox mall stores. I ordered a pair of regular glassses and they were ready in an hour. look no further for eyewear – Last week I had an eye exam at Midtown Eye Care. I'm new to the area and was hesitant to go to a non-chain related office, but I'm so glad I did. From the moment I walked in the door, I felt comfortable with the staff. They are so much fun! I felt very welcome. sophisticated place, great specs – I had a wonderful experience buying my latest glasses. I have had a terrible time the last few years trying to adjust to trifocals, and have had countless headaches. The staff at Midtown Eye Care gave me extra special treatment and they were graciously very paient with me. My tinted lenses were exactly the shade I wanted, and above all else, I could see. I would recommend this office to anyone, especially if you are shopping for that "hard to find" frame.
Not Recommended – All I can say is that the service there was unprofessional, the lady who "tried" to help me didn't know what she was doing, not only did she not know how to adjust the glasses frame to fit my face, she simply ruined my frame. Hello? hire someone who's had more experiences and who knows what she's doing, and please, hire someone with a better attitude!
Great-looking frames but bad service and quality – I've been going here for about a year because this seems to be the only place in town to get frames with any sort of fashion at all. I have been very unhappy with my glasses, both with the prescription and the quality of the lenses. But even if you buy the "insurance" they still charge you to replace their defective stuff. Great Place to Go – My family has gone to Dr. Barnes for the past four years and we love it. The staff is very efficient and it didn't take them long to learn all of our names and become familiar with us. Now when I call they know exactly who I am and they know each of my children's names, too. They have great frames to choose from and are very accommodating with appointments.
I am quite pleased with my most recent eye exam. I am new to the Atlanta area and found a great eye doctor on my first attempt. He has the latest technology in his office, and his staff is well educated in the field. I found a great pair of glasses that feel great on my face. My lenses are thin and lightweight. I didn't wait long for the exm and I got my glasses back that very day. It was great service all around.
User review by barnes65 – Whenever our family is in Atlanta for a visit, we always make it a point to see Dr. Robert Barnes for our eye exams. Both he and his staff are very personable, accommodating and efficient. The atmosphere in the office is pleasant and his staff are so friendly. Most of all, if you want a thorough eye exam, a choice of chic frames, and service with a smile you must go see Dr. Barnes. He cares about his patients, young and old!
