so so so..... – my overall experience here was sucky. The doctor was very knowledge but his staff was awful. I had to wait for hours before I was even brought back to the examine room. And the prices that I was quoted over the phone were not the same. Definitely wasn't good for business.
Amazing customer service to a blurry eyed out-of-towner! – I was in Atlanta last month for a large convention. I had that "oh crud" moment of realization on the airplane that I forgot my glasses. As soon as I arrived, I asked my hotel concierge where to go to get a reasonable pair of replacement glasses. He didn't hesitate for one moment to send me in a taxi 7 miles away to work with Midtown Eye Care. He was right! Knowledgeable, professional, prompt service – I have worked with both Kay and Jessica at Midtown Eye on Ponce. I have a difficult eyeglass prescription to fill, but Midtown Eye gets it right every time. Also, each time I go in, there is a new, large selection of fun and fashionable frames. I tell them the look I am going for, and they pick out the frames that fit my face best. Best place in Atlanta – I just moved to atlanta from another state and my visit to the office was great the girls are all very friendly. They kept me laughing especially on the doctors side, they are so layed back and gave me all the information that i needed when i asked a question. There is so many selection of frames that it took me a while to pick the one i wanted but they helped me all the way, i had everyone in the building helping me decide what frames i wanted. Nice Doctor – I really liked Dr. Barnes. He was very nice and when I told him that bright light thing really hurt my eyes, he was quick and it was painless. I don't wear contacts or glasses anymore, but it looked like they had a huge selection of frames.
good optometrist, poor customer service – Customer service at this establishment is main reason I will not be a repeat customer. The staff is miserable, rude and unprofessional. They must realize they are running a BUSINESS and customer service as well as satisfaction actually matter to the clientele. I wish I was so busy that there were consistantly long waits for anything in my office! This review is so unlike my office, I wonder if this person actually was ever in it. While no office if 100% perfect, we always try to provide quality customer service. I expect nothing less from my staff.
Best place to get glasses – I have been going to Midtown Eye Care for years and they are super helpful at finding the best glasses! I have bought 2 frames from them and commonly get stopped on the street by people complimenting my glasses and asking where I got them. It even happened in NYC!! Terrible – The people who work there are unprofessional at best and nasty at worst. This place has never heard of the concept that the "customer is always right". They screwed up my prescription (I discovered they wrote a "90" instead of a "40") and when I went back to tell them that there was a problem, they immediately blamed my doctor for giving me the wrong prescription and then blamed me for not checking their transcription. This gentleman came to my store with a prescription from another doctors office. After he picked out his frames, my optician was entering in the information regarding the prescription. The prescription was written in a way that the 90 really looked like a 40. When the glasses were picked up, the vision in one eye was blurry. We called the other office to double check the prescription because the glasses were made perfectly as per the prescription we had on file.
