Get directionsRecently gave birth here and it was the best experience I could ask for. My husband is active duty military and I came to this hospital to have my first child because it is near our family members. They made my stay so comfortable for the week we had to be here. I can only hope that I can come back for the birth of all of my future children.
HORRIBLE. . MY HUSBAND HAS BEEN THERE 3 + times for his hand turning blue n in severe pain. They do nothing at all. He went in tonight n they couldn't get his vain so he has 12 gauze pads where they tried to get blood from him. Including the top of his feet. N nothing . I had to go out n get the nurse cause they thought they had his vain but didn't so he has a big bubble under his skin full of antibiotics. Its increadable they call themselfs a hospital.
I went in for a MRI. I had two wonderful people anyone could ask for. They both mad me very comfy. They listened to my needs . I would like to thank them . So thank you both so very much .
I sure wish Mid Coast would not send X-rays to a sub-contractor not participating in our insurance, this causes problems every time we need an X-ray. It's a royal pain to have to go to Lewiston, Augusta or Portland for X-rays. With Mid Coast steadily taking over providers in the area it would be nice if they did not use sub-contractors unless they matched insurance coverage. This insurance shuffle for every visit to a doctors office or hospital sure makes single provider look real good.
Frankly I was quite frustrated with the Kennebec Pharmacy as a prescription was faxed within the hospital and not ready 3 1/2 hours later? I am sure this is a separate unit from the hospital itself which was an excellent experience and probably should not receive this blah recommendation. BUT I do not see a spot where many of who were held up could share this negative appraisal. Simply said this needs to be corrected.
Worst hospital there ever was. Never bringing my husband or kids here again. Never!! I hope you close down like Parkview did. Even some of the Parkview staff that work there don't like being there but they need the job and deal with the bs.
I went in for knee surgery, and was treated with such amazing care. The nurses on the surgical floor are superb. Thank you all so much for taking care of me, and helping me to keep ahead of my pain. The food was lackluster, and each meal I had was missing something that I had ordered. my first meal there was a plain turkey sandwich because they had run out of my choice.
