I was referred to Mid Coast Hospital for a diagnostic procedure not available north of Boston almost 7 years ago and the staff was terrific.
Second time to this er and I will never come to this place again. I've been waiting for 3 hours just for someone to make one phone call. They didn't even give me a choice as to what hospital I'd be transferred to, just walked in and said you're going here and left. Everyone has a terrible bedside manor, and I'm sorry but about the time you put your hands in me in a way that is not necessary I'm done.
My husband had to be admitted into ICU last week and the nurse seemed to be out of a horror movie... moved real slow and weird stares. They never came in and asked if they could get him anything. Had to just about beg for water for him and we had to remind them of his pain medication then they were late getting them to him. I will be taking him to Maine Med or Lewiston from now on
I went there for the frist time for surgery last Tuesday it was the best experience could not ask for better people the only thing I question is having the stitches left in under my cast for 4 weeks I always thought 10 days but I guess they know just wanted to say they awesome people.
A big thank you to Dr. Henry, nurses and cna's for the great care I received when having hip replacement surgery. A special thank you to my PT Donna.nshe has worked with me through two hip replacements and is absolutely the best. Thank you all.....Earle T
I was admitted for a total hip replacement. I found the staff was very responsive,answering the bell within a minute or 2. The room was bright and welcoming. The staff took time to answer my ?s and were very reassuring. The rehab staff was great, getting me up and moving the day of surgery. I admit I was anxious but the professional demeanor of everyone there put me at ease. I would highly recommend.
I was visiting my mother today who has been admitted there over a handful of times in last few years and walked back out to my car to find I had a flat tire. I got my tools ready and my donut and began the process. Many people passed me by but two of the security guards did not. They jumped in and finished the process for me. They were wonderful.
