A gem – This place is great. Every time we go we are greeted by friendly waiters (it is family owned--they are all siblings) who are outgoing and make you feel at home. The food is exceptional. Their garlic bread and caprese are outstanding appetizers. Don't be fooled by the Pizzeria name. This is a Romantic restaurant with a nice ambiance. The prices are very reasonable and well worth the price of gas for the drive to Silverlake. I would go there every week if I could.
Michelangelo is open at the new location! – We went to Michelangelo yesterday! It's now open at the new location. This was supposed to be a soft opening, but there was nothing soft about it.. The space is beautiful. They now have parking and the menu is enhanced w/ new items.. A lot of their steak and fish specials are now on the menu among other things. Their fried ravioli is sooo good. Very Average – I can see why this place is good for a quick neighborhood dinner, but do not expect too much. The homemade mozzarella that others on this board have mentioned was tasteless. The homemade pasta was also tasteless... Everything about this place is pretty average at best...
Pizza OK, Dessert good – The pizza is OK; I did not try the pasta. I won't go back for the pizza, as I prefer NY Italian pizza. I would be willing to go back for the pasta. Excellent cappuccino and tiramisu. Yes, you can bring your dog to sit outside.
Great Date Place – We went here after reading the pizza reviews on citysearch. The pizza was very good, not the best, but decent thin crust, thought it wasn't crunchy like many italian thin crust pizzas. It was also somewhat dry. I would recommend getting the pasta instead of pizza. Our waiter was awesome! Very polite and cordial.
Mucho romantico! – Three things come to mind when you think Michelangelo's. Amazing food, impressive service and great ambiance. You also never know when you might have a celebrity sitting next to you. I saw Keanu Reeves when I was there. My friends saw Kiefer Sutherland a few months ago, Rebecca Romijn Stamos and Jason Lee. So so – Our food was nothing speical, not bad, but nothing worth havng again. Once our food was served, we never saw our waiter again. We had to ask for the check. We would not go back.
They Are the best – Michelangelos is amazing...The family is so nice and the food is the best I have tasted in a long time...Thin Crust Pizza and meatball sandwiches ohhhhh my!!!! If you are ever in Silverlake you must eat there...They are also dog friendly...You can bring your dog and eat outside.
Best Pizza in LA – This is by far the best pizza I have had in LA. They also have some great specials like fresh burrata cheese on greens and bruschetta, awesome. Good service, laid back
