Serving splendid Italian fare, Michelangelo is a popular dining spot for locals who like to relax in its hospitable ambience and linger over a plate of pasta or a warm bowl of soup. The Pollo Fiorentina made from chicken marinated in Marsela wine and cheese, Burrata or garlic bread with cheese and the classic Spaghetti and Meatballs are traditional favorites. The bar is cozy and serves a good selection of wine that perfectly complements the food. The staff is friendly and makes the diners feel at home in the venue. Michelang... read more

Dull and Overpriced – This was our first visit to this restaurant. We were excited that they opened in this location and they've made the location quite beautiful, but the food was underwhelming for the price. We enjoyed the burratta di bufala appetizer but it went downhill from there. The risotto verdure was boring, unsophisticated in taste, and not worth $19. The margherita pizza had a dull, thin sauce and the crust had a cardboard texture although the cheese was tasty and just the right amount. I also didn't appreciate pa... read more
First time? Go with the specials! – This great little restaurant is one of a dying breed of family-owned establishments who prepare their food with love. It has just relocated and may be experiencing a bout of growing pains from the sound of a couple of the reviews -- they just opened less than two weeks ago! We went last night - without a reservation - and yes, had to wait a bit for a table (about 10min) - BUT we enjoyed the romantic relaxed ambiance lovingly crafted by the brothers from wood they moved from their old locat... read more
Best Italian Home-Made food in LA – I just went to have dinner yesterday at Michelangelo and I think that this restaurant offer something that no one else does; this guys have created such a familiar and authentic atmosphere inside the restaurant that combined with the elaborated and fresh dishes they made just in time!! It's amazing to have such a nice Italian music when you taste tha incredible pizza!! By the way, about the other reviews: I had to wait a while until I got my food. I understand that the restaurant was compl... read more
Best italian food in town. – The new place looks amazing. I was very please when I found out that my favorite restaurant was re-opened. I went there on sunsay night with some friends and the place was very busy. Yes we had to wait to be sit it and yes we had to wait for the food to be served. But this come with the territory to eat good food. It was worth it. I do not care waiting to eat good food. Specially good italian food. The service was good in general. I will definitely go back to Michelangelo Ristorante.....
Got sick from food – Had the rib-eye and tasted good but I got very ill from the food. Service was lacking, ambiance was good. Not recommended on basis of illness.
Horrible wait - 3 hours total, food only medicore – Some friends came in from NYC and we thought "wow, what a cute little place." So it began.... They said 15-20 min wait for table. 45 min. Should have taken the hint and left then. 1 HOUR for appetizers. Embarrassing. 1 HOUR for our food. Inquired about out food 30 min into the wait, and at that point they said the food would be out in a ?couple minutes? ?. and then took 30 min more. The ONLY reason I didn't walk out was because my two friends from NYC are hippie / hipster /... read more
Terrible service; inept management; overpriced food--STAY AWAY – What a disappointment! My experience at Michaelangelo's new location was HORRIBLE! For many months I've been monitoring this site. I love to eat, and I've worked in restaurants for more than twelve years. Now I'm sorry I ever was excited about this dump.... First the hostess was snobbish and curt. Not only to me but to the people in front of me when they were checking in! Again, having been a waiter myself for six years (fine French dining) and a barman for man... read more
Yes, it is the best family own authentic italian restorant in L.A – I just can't wait 'till they open at the new location, God i miss them, HURRY UP BROTHERS!!!!!!!!! PS , PARKING WON'T BE A PROBLEM NO MORE OK.......
Average pizza – I decided to order a pizza because this place came so highly recommended. I ordered a mushroom and pepperoni which I figured was basic enough not to mess up. Overall it was pretty average and a little greasy. The thin crust was good, they used fresh ingredients, but overall it was pretty average stuff and not worth the drive from the Westside. If I'm ever in the neighborhood for other reasons I might stop by and try one of their pastas. The restaurant seemed like a nice neighborhood place with a good vibe, bu... read more
