My extensive surgical training has allowed me to become a leader in the advancement of Foot and Ankle Surgery. My publications include but are not limited to topics on flatfoot reconstruction, ankle instability, and high arch reconstruction.

I suffered from severe plantar fasciitis and Dr. Maskill suggested a gastrocnemius recession. He couldn't have been more kind or professional in helping me understand what that was. The surgery and recovery went exactly how he described and the procedure helped greatly with my foot pain. You can tell he genuinely wants to help people. I wish he was my doctor for every ailment I faced.
I broke my ankle falling out of a pick up truck. He was very thorough with the exam! He was clear on explaining the step by step process to repairing my ankle including what to expect of the surgery. No surprises. I'm doing great! He has a wonderful personality, listens well and really seems to care!!! Rare at times among doctors!
I made an appointment with Dr. Maskill for my flat feet after he was highly recommended by a colleague. He was very personable and spent a lot of time answering my questions. He did a flatfoot reconstruction and the foot pain I was having prior to surgery has completely resolved. I couldn't be happier with my results!
Dr. Maskill performed surgery on my foot with great results and could not be more happy with it. The experience was less stressful then i anticipated and with his compassionate manners i felt as ease with him. The surgical team at Watervliet Hospital was awesome!!! No fear for my upcoming surgery on my other foot now .
very disappointing. he does not treat foot fungus I had to go to a dermatologist which diagnosed foot fungus as a yeast outbreak and dermatologist prescribed cream . i scheduled a second visit for orthotics because they were uncomfortable from the time i put them on. i scheduled with dr maskill but instead they gave me a nurse practitioner without advising me of this prior. had to try them on in front lobby when i got them. also had to fight to get them to bill medicare.
I actually went to Dr. Maskill based on 2 reasons, the first being I needed a second opinion on a previously repaired broken ankle and on the recommendation of a cousin who happens to be a nurse that does not work for him or has anything to do with him in any direct manner. His treatment was 100% opposite of what I had been told rom the other dr. and it appears to be the correct course of action. Very personable guy and took care of all of my concerns.
