The staff at Summit Orthopedics was very polite and professional. Dr. Goldsmith's PA was very welcoming and engaging. Dr. Goldsmith has a wonderful manner that makes you feel very comfortable. He is extremely knowledgeable about the conditions of the back. He is patient and answers any questions the patient may have. I would recommend Dr. Goldsmith to my family, friends, and anyone else who is seeking a qualified orthopedic doctor.
Consultation to discuss surgery to relieve compression on nerve root(s) from fractured discs at L4-5.
Dr Goldsmith has been treating and advising me on my lower back issues since June 2019. Instead of jumping into surgery, he recommended rest, moderate and careful exercise, Meloxicam (a gentle anti inflammatory low dose daily pill for a month and my condition continued to improve without surgery. I can highly recommend him.
Dr. Goldsmith is the most caring, straightforward and congenial surgeon I have ever had. I have severe neck issues and have seen half a dozen surgeons over the last 25 years, Dr. Goldsmith is the best. He knows his craft, his surgical skill is outstanding. My recoveries from his surgeries (3 in one year) have been a dream. Typically, the older you get, the harder it is to recover, but in this case, I have bounced back quicker than I have in many years. Thank you Dr. Goldsmith!
Dr. G has been my doctor for 5 years. He is straightforward, understanding and an excellent doctor. His staff is also very good and I find it beneficial to talk with them as well.

Dr Goldsmith has performed a lower back discectomy and a cervical fusion in my neck. I believe he is one of the best spine surgeons in the DC area and would strongly recommend him to anyone having back or neck discomfort. His office and staff are excellent and very punctual with seeing patients at the time of the appointment.
Dr Goldsmith came in after his PA. After asking the same questions as his PA, Dr Goldsmith took time to explain my treatment options, and we quickly came to a consensus.
It was very comfortable and I felt I was truly cared about.
