I can not say enough about this wonderful surgeon introduced to me through emergency gallbladder surgery, Flagler Hospital , February 2022. He wasted no time to diagnose and get me right into surgery. He is a very caring, humble , easy to talk to physician that my wife and I highly recommend for those needing surgery. He truly cares about his patients.
I can’t tell you how much I dreaded having this surgery because I have never had any major surgery. After meeting with Dr. Hsu, I was no longer anxious and decided to undergo the surgery that Dr. Hsu and my GI Dr. Cavacini said I needed to avoid what could become a life threatening complication. The surgery went amazingly well as Dr. Hsu’s skilled hands used the latest laparoscopic technology. Many of the nurses and staff at Flagler hospital told me of Dr.Hsu’s exceptional reputation for successful outcomes.
Dr. Hsu took the time to answer all my questions and relieve my anxieties regarding surgery. His patient bedside demeanor is the best and very rare compared to other doctors I have seen in this area. Thank you Dr. Hsu

Dr. Hsu performed a hiatal hernia repair and nissen fundoplication on me in October, 2021. He listened intently when I explained my symptoms and assured me that he would only operate if he knew the surgery would help me. He is an expert in his field and also very kind and compassionate. Dr. Hsu and Danielle patiently answered my many questions before and after the surgery. Dr Hsu is amazing! He performed my bowel resection surgery on last week. He is not only highly professional, knowledgeable and very experienced surgeon. Dr. Hsu has a great demeanor, honest and straightforward. Using laparoscopy to repair my umbilical hernia, my recovery time was fast and with much less discomfort than normal surgery. I would highly recommend him to family and friends.
At the age of 72, and having high mileage on my odometer, I needed a good mechanic to fix a failed 2002 mesh hernia repair. I asked several doctors that I knew, who they would use for this procedure. Dr. Hsu removed my appendix and repaired a hernia at the same time. He was very friendly and did an amazing job with the surgery. I had no pain afterwards and a short recovery time to being back to light duty stuff. I took it easy for a little more time, but was able to do simple stuff at about a week.
